Not an emergency service. In an emergency call 000.
Privacy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
OzPulse is a public map of emergency-related data. It has no accounts, no newsletters and no advertising.
What we do not collect
No accounts, names, emails or phone numbers.
No advertising identifiers, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics.
No storage of your location on our servers.
What happens on your device
If you use near me, your browser may ask for your location. It is used in your browser to sort
incidents and is written into the page URL only so you can share that view. It is never sent to us for storage.
Your language and last view are remembered locally (localStorage) to restore your session.
Place search queries are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim (see their privacy policy).
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp)
for security and to keep the service running. Logs are rotated and are not used for profiling or advertising.
Third parties
Map tiles and weather data are requested from third-party providers (OpenFreeMap, AWS Terrain Tiles,
Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap). Those requests expose your IP address to them, as with any website.
Your choices
You can use the map without granting location permission and without JavaScript-enabled place search.
